Psychosocial Treatments

In addition to the use of medication, a range of appropriate psychosocial treatments can help achieve a good recovery.  There are numerous psychosocial interventions that may be offered. The following sections describe some of these interventions.

Most of the interventions described here are offered by the EPI team.

Another useful tool is the Dealing With Psychosis Toolkit or DWP. The DWP Toolkit is a guided self-help workbook where another person such as a friend, family member or professional acts to help support and encourage someone, but not be a teacher, as the person uses the Toolkit.
